Rima Juškūnė was born in 1979 in Vilkija, district of Kaunas, where she graduated secondary school. She later earned a Bachelor’s degree in philology from the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University. Since 2003, Juškūnė has been living in northern Denmark. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Danish philology and in communications and a Master’s degree in digital media from Aalborg University. Currently, she works as a translator and is a doctoral candidate in the Centre for Scandinavian Studies at Vilnius University. She has published two collections of poetry: Irises (2015) and Pericón (2018). Her work has appeared in Nemunas, Šiaurės Atėnai, Literatūra ir menas, the Poetry Spring Festival anthologies, Vilnius Review, and has been translated into English.
