Konrad Góra (Poland)

Konrad Góra was born in Oleśnica in 1978. He lives in Wroclaw. He has published his works in literary magazines (e.g. Odra, Cegła, Tygiel Kulturalny, Opcje, Wakat). He authored five books of poetry: Requiem dla Saddama Husajna i inne wiersze dla ubogich duchem (2008), Pokój widzeń (2011), Siła niższa (full hasiok) (2012), Nie (2016), Kalendarz majów (2019). He is also an editor of the anthology of new Polish poets: Połów. Poetyckie debiuty 2013 (2014, with Marta Podgórnik) and a co-author of Fontanny i muszle. A laureate of several poetry competitions and a nominee of various literary prizes (e.g. Silesius, Orfeusz, Juliusz). He is an anarchist and activist of Wroclaw’s Food not bombs campaign. One of his hobbies is collecting branches and roots of different plants – he claims to prefer the bitter ones.
