Jonas Zdanys (born in 1950), recipient of the 2002 Yotvingian Prize, earned his baccalaureate degree from Yale University and his Master›s and Doctoral degrees in English literature from the State University of New York. He has published more than 20 collections of poetry, 5 of them in Lithuanian, and has also published 22 volumes of his translations into English of Lithuanian authors. This year, Lamar University Press published his collected poems: The Angled Road: Collected Poems 1970-2020, 300 pages. J. Zdanys currently serves as Professor of English and Poet-inResidence at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut.
